Dr Scott McDonald

General Surgeon with special interest in colorectal surgery and endoscopy

About

Dr McDonald graduated from James Cook University in 2006 before completing his general surgical training in Queensland and obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australia College of Surgery (FRACS) in 2013.

He also spent time as a fellow in a specialist colorectal unit at The Western Hospital, Melbourne before returning to Queensland to take up a full-time specialist general surgeon at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in 2017.

Scott grew up on a cattle property in central Queensland. When not working, Scott enjoys fishing, running and spending time with his family.

Dr McDonald can provide a wide range of general surgical procedure including upper and lower endoscopy, open and laparoscopic procedures.
